Big bad Benny Leal was back to his brilliant best yesterday claiming Round 3 honours with $80 on Noname Lane in the Balaklava Cup, holding off Noelsy of the Shannon variety ($70 win bet). Benny finished the round with $1072 profit compared to Noelsy’s $913.
Jono, Dougie, Freezer, Snake and Turtle were all tied for 3rd on $835 after having $50 on Noname Lane and $100 on I’m Thunderstruck in the Makybe Diva Stakes on Saturday.

Speaking of Balaklava, the results of the poll were slightly surprising with 38% of you having actually stepped foot in the town.
Overall, Freezer has taken a commanding lead on $1395, from Benny Leal on $872 and Snake and Dougie sharing 3rd on $865. However, this is a marathon not a sprint. We’ve had just 4 of 50 races!!
Stakes Day Update
Following on from the survey, where 50% showed genuine interest, we will be pushing on with our season ending catch up on Stakes Day at Flemington on November 5th.
