In what turned out to be a nailbiter, Weeksy has took his first even round win by coming from behind to pip the 3-time champion Rodda. And to make things even better it was a $100 jackpot prize carried over from last round. After FANGIRL had taken out the 7 Stakes, both Weeksy and Rodda were the only two tipsters to have $100 on BUCKAROO in the Underwood. With Rod in the lead through his FANGIRL tip, Weeksy needed something special, and found it with a $50 each way bet on MAZU, who held onto 3rd. Weeksy won the round by just $20 returning $961 to Rodda’s $941. Far Canal was in third on $478.

Overall, yours truly has taken a temporary lead in the competition on $874 – a rare occurrence. Rish and Shoggers have dropped to equal second on $801. It means that the leaderboard has really compacted! It will only take one big round to catapult yourself into the lead. Check the full leaderboard here.

Killa secured another positive round to maintain his lead in the Captain Consistency on 4 points. Nato, Far Canal and Ovs share second on 3 points.

The Great Sandwich Poll

A win for the non-cutters (or those who can’t be f**cked) with 40% of votes. I was a little surprised by this to be honest. Nothing better than a cut toasted sandwich. Triangle beat rectangle cut on 35% to 25%. No one was game enough to admit to the Y-cut, although I’m sure everyone is curious to try it.

This week we only have 2 races to tip. The Manikato on Friday night and the Golden Rose on Saturday.
