The enigma that is The Worm has decided to play his hand in this year’s tipping comp, slapping $100 on SOUTHPORT TYCOON ($22.33 BSP) in the Manikato Stakes to blast into overall contention. Worm also had $100 on BROADSIDING ($2.03 BSP) in the Golden Rose to make it a winning double and return $2236 for the round. Only the inspired tipping of Yours Truly prevented him from taking the overall lead. I had $40 on SOUTHPORT TYCOON and $80 on BROADSIDING to pocket $855.60. The Prez took third spot after having a $100 place bet on MAYFAIR ($5.90 BSP).

Overall, I have held onto the lead on $1729.50, from Worm on $1631 and Rish and Shoggers back on $601. But we are only 10 races into the comp, with another 37 to come! Starting with five races this weekend. It must be pointed out that there are still five tipsters who are yet to fire a shot and rooted to the bottom on -$1000.

In the Captain Consistency, Killa still leads on 4 points from a host of names on 3 points including Nato, Ovs, Far Canal, Merc and the Prez.

ROUND 6 POLL

Congrats to the 25% who correctly tipped the Lions to win the GF. And congrats to the 25% who didn’t waste their time watching another boring GF. This week we have the NRL GF to tip!
